SECTION 1/2/3: PROPOSAL

Rationale

In level 2 as induction, we learned persuasive techniques used in moving images such as adverts. We worked on moving image and sound, learning all the different types of documentaries and its modes, we produced short documentaries. Level 2 is when I learned the basics of media and is when I first was taught how to use a camera.

In level 3 I got to search for different types of jobs in the media industry, learn more about it and decide what I want to do. Within the specialist practice, I worked on, entry-level job roles, media skills analysis, a reflection of working in the media industry and finally, we worked on our professional media CVs. Now I have learnt a lot about the media industry and how to properly use a camera and create different types of moving image.

Project Concept 

My concept idea is about post Brexit and the culture and diversity, how it makes the UK the society it is today. I am going to focus on culture (clothing, cuisine and places) and that is because the UK has so many surprises and places that many cultures come together and make what we are today. I want to show the values and lifestyle. I decided to work on this since Brexit is one of the major events happening in the UK at the moment and worrying many families that came from outside the UK. I plan on producing a short film about different cultures, races, food, clothing etc) a 4 to 5 minute film, and the purpose of it is to open the eyes of Britain. I will be adding a website with photographs and more information that could be related to the consequences and possible downsides of not having the diverse society that we have today.
